Meet Jess!

Jess is the Chief Creative and Manager at The GC Collective (formerly Geelong Creatives). The GC Collective is a locally owned collective of Geelong creative businesses offering memberships to help promote businesses and support them to flourish. Current members include photographers, candle makers, artists, illustrators and producers of skincare, self-care products, clothing, bags, accessories and so much more.

Here’s what Jess had to say about why she loves doing what she does and the importance of the GC Collective for Geelong:

“I’m passionate about small business and love helping our Creatives by curating opportunities, workshops and collaborations. GC has been around since 2015 and I took over the reins in December 2017. At the time, I owned a small creative business and was a GC member. I jumped at the chance to take on GC! My vision is to take our members in a slightly new direction and further build on the great work done by the GC founder. I am so excited about our new branding and am designing workshops, events and opportunities for 2020 around our new core values: Inspire, Innovate, Collaborate.

Outside of GC, I’m a born and bred Geelong gal. I live in Highton with my husband, our toddler and our Labrador. I also work in the corporate world for a local well known Geelong organisation. There’s something pretty special about where we live. Our city is rich in culture, resources, opportunities and wonderful people, and I love that GC is a small part of that.” ~Jessica Robertson
