Meet Carlie!

Carlie - Jade and May

While travelling in Vietnam in 2018, Carlie had a dressing gown made in Hoi An. She loved the fabric and decided to design and make more and started selling them at markets. Carlie started Jade and May mid-2018 and I love that her business is name was created from her middle name ‘Jade’ and her daughter’s middle name ‘May’!

As Jade and May grew rapidly, she renovated this beautiful space and opened a shop front in the busy area of Newtown last summer.

I asked Carlie what she loves the most about her business, she said “ I love my customers! I enjoy meeting new people and I absolutely love the vibe of this area of Newtown. There are so many amazing businesses along Rutland street and its the perfect home for Jade and May”.
