I launched the ‘Body & Soul’ Campaign with the mission to empower and inspire confidence in women by showcasing their true self, strength, beauty and celebrate who they are right now. I want to help shift perspectives about beauty and show that EVERY body is beautiful… EVERY body is a work of art. But most importantly, we are more than how we look and what size clothes we wear. There is a story inside us all that has made us who we are today. And who we are right now is worth celebrating. So I’d love for you to follow along, read the stories of these incredible women and be inspired.

Meet AMY

“I was born with a disability which affects your tendons and contracts your joints. I spent the first 13 years of my life in hospital so that I would have a chance of being able to walk. I’ve always been the kind of person who, if you tell me I can’t, I’ll show you I can. I think my idea of beauty has always been different due to having grown up with a disability. I knew I was different, I knew parts of me looked different but I was always taught that’s okay. I went into my later teens and my generalised stereotypical idea of beauty did change and impact how I saw myself particularly my weight.”

“Beautiful to me means anything I feel drawn to in a positive way. I’ve always been inspired by Andy Warhol and he always spoke about how there is beauty in everything and I try and instil this in my life. There are days I don’t feel confident, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel beautiful.”

I asked Amy what owning a beautiful Body & Soul Boudoir portrait of herself would mean to her, and she said “It would be awesome to see myself from someone else’s perspective of beauty. As a photographer myself I know ways I like to pose and edits I like to do to convey how I see myself as beautiful so it will be great to have a reminder of someone’s else’s perspective that is genuine.”

Amy’s words of advice for someone who struggles to see their own beauty:

“Everyone will say it but do what makes you happy! When you are happy and confident an individual might be able to see their beauty more easily as they don’t have other factors blocking them from seeing it.”

“I loved my shoot with Tania, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease! The images came out amazing and Tania has helped with my confidence.”
