I launched the ‘Body & Soul’ Campaign with the mission to empower and inspire confidence in women by showcasing their true self, strength, beauty and celebrate who they are right now. I want to help shift perspectives about beauty and show that EVERY body is beautiful… EVERY body is a work of art. But most importantly, we are more than how we look and what size clothes we wear. There is a story inside us all that has made us who we are today. And who we are right now is worth celebrating. So I’d love for you to follow along, read the stories of these incredible women and be inspired.

Meet ALICIA

Alicia is an incredible woman. She’s a wife, a mother of 2 incredible boys, a daughter, a sister, a loyal and compassionate friend and has overcome not one but TWO surgeries in the past 3 years to remove a bone tumor in her skull bone.

“I think growing up I never felt beautiful so that really impacted me in a negative way now as an adult I find it so strange to take compliments. I try to have a strong belief of it's what's inside that matters and that's what I teach my boys.”

“I have always grown up believing I was never "the pretty" one. I was always the chubby, boyish girl, so I always tried to be funny and strong. I think that's made me feel the power in my own strength as an adult and a mother. Every scar tells a story and I think that's important and something we should never hide”.

I asked Alicia what owning a beautiful Body & Soul Boudoir portrait of herself would mean to her, and she said “I never feel beautiful, that makes my husband very frustrated!! But I do feel strong and that, I think is beautiful. I think having strong, beautiful portraits would help me see it's ok to let your guard down; seeing your own beauty is ok and it's the first step to loving yourself.”

Alicia’s words of advice for someone who struggles to see their own beauty:

“It's ok to love yourself, it doesn't make you shallow or selfish it makes you strong. Everyone is someone’s kind of beautiful.”

Alicia’s words on her experience: “I was so scared going into the photoshoot but it was completely different to what I thought it was going to be. Tania made the experience so much fun I was so relaxed and laughed so much it was amazing.

Doing this made me feel so comfortable in my own skin; something I don't think I've ever felt. It's made me see myself in a different light and see that beauty is natural and so simple. The reaction I've had from others has been great it's definitely worth every woman doing.”
